The Scissor Skills Game Boards will help your students get ready for a snip-tastic adventure with eight vibrant game boards that bring a fresh spin to mastering cutting skills! These cool, colorful boards make learning to cut not just important, but super fun! You get to be the boss—choose the size, design, and even the cutting lines—then watch as little hands snip away, bringing shapes to life! Shapes include square, circle, triangle, rectangle, oval, and diamond (rhombus).

HOW TO USE THE SCISSOR SKILLS GAME BOARDS
To play the games, you will need some of these easy to find items:
1. Board game markers or tokens such as foam shapes, mini erasers, buttons, small figurines, or game pieces from other games.
2. A coin, die or pieces of paper cut into squares with numbers written on them to create paper dice. Numbers 1-3 are the best for these boards to increase opportunities for cutting practice.
3. Gather scissors and coloring tools that are appropriate for the child playing the game, as well as copies of the shapes to be cut out for game play. Choose whether to print the shapes on copy paper or cardstock, depending on the needs of the children playing. Consider using left-handed scissors for left-handed children and spring-loaded scissors for those children who struggle with the open and close hand action of operating standard scissors. Alternatively, you can use any available shape-cutting resources to play these fun scissor-cutting game boards.
DIRECTIONS:
1. Have the child flip a coin or shake and roll a die or paper squares to determine the number of spaces to move their marker. If using a coin, heads is one space, and tails is two spaces.
2. The child then colors and cuts out a shape on the space they land on. As the adult, you can choose the size that best matches their skill level.
DURABILITY TIP:
Laminate all boards for increased durability and easy reuse of game boards.
