This Free Prewriting Worksheet Packet is a fun and simple way to help young children build prewriting skills through visual matching and line drawing. After one of my occupational therapy readers reached out with a request, I designed these worksheets with engaging themes like dogs, cake slices, and emoji faces. The fine motor practice freebie is perfect for fine motor practice at home, in the classroom, or during occupational therapy sessions. It is an effective way to practice the common strokes such as diagonal lines, horizontal lines and vertical lines.

What is Included in the Free Prewriting Worksheet Packet?
The packet includes 10 printable worksheets in PDF format. Each page features sets of matching pictures, such as dogs, emoji faces, and birthday cakes. Children draw a straight line from one side of the page to the matching object on the other side. All matching lines are either a horizontal line or vertical, making it developmentally appropriate for preschoolers and kindergarten students. These pages can be used with pencils, crayons, or dry-erase markers for repeated practice.
