Penguin Theme – Movement Activity for Kids

How Does the NO PREP Penguin Theme Movement Activity for Kids Work?
All you need to do are these three steps:
- Sign up to download the freebie at the bottom of the post.
- Download and print the activity or just share your screen.
- The children can follow the actions of the penguins skating:
- balance on one foot with your arms in the air for ten seconds. Switch legs.
- slide your feet back and forth and skate in a circle forwards and backwards.
- slide your feet back and forth and skate in a figure 8 pattern.
Want to add in visual motor skills? Print and trace the skating lines with your finger or a pencil. If you do not want to print it, you can mark up the PDF and the lines.
When Is A Good Time to Use This Activity?
Students can use this activity during:
- penguin theme lesson plans in preschool
- winter themed brain break in elementary school
- movement warm up for a science lesson on penguins
- warm up for an Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy session
- indoor recess
- physical education penguin theme activity
