Capital letter tracing worksheets and printables are an excellent way to help children practice writing uppercase letters and recognizing capital letter forms. HOW DO YOU WRITE CAPITAL LETTERS?

It is important when students begin to learn how to write capital letters that they are taught the proper letter formation. Letters should always be started at the top when writing. These free printables include the letter strokes and what order to form the letters.

View the printables to see the order of the letter strokes. For example, when you form the uppercase letter, you write the straight line down first followed by the loops for the letter B. For the capital letter E, you form the straight line down followed by the three horizontal strokes.

  • visual discrimination – the ability to see visual differences between similar objects. For example, in simple terms being able to tell the difference between a circle and a square. These skills develop throughout childhood and continue to improve into adulthood. Visual discrimination skills are important for many everyday activities such as reading, writing, and driving.
