OBJECTIVES OF THE CUTTING MADE SIMPLE COURSE
- The therapist, teacher or parent will be able to identify the developmental progression of students when they are learning to use a pair of scissors.
- The therapist, teacher, or parent will recognize which “modified/adapted” scissors are most suitable for students based on their individual and unique needs.
- The therapist, teacher, or parent shall be able to list the six general guidelines as pre-requisites for students to learn to cut.
- Upon completion of the course, you will gain a better understanding of all fine motor skills required to successfully operate a pair of scissors.
We also review all scissors available to you as a clinician and how to approach teaching left-handed students cutting/scissor skills.
CEUS FOR THE CUTTING MADE SIMPLE COURSE
You will be awarded 1 hour of virtual training with .1 CEUs (on one contact hour) from AOTA (you have one year to access this course).
