More Details about the Feeling Angry and Scared CBT Packet
In this bundle, Parker Pickleberry introduces his superpower, The Pickle-Power-Popper-Pause, and shares how he followed the steps to overcome challenges and learned to ride his new bike. The Pickle-Power-Popper-Pause is a tool to help children identify big feelings and learn valuable skills to move through and understand how our thoughts, feelings, and actions work together. This playful catch phrase, full of tongue twisting alliteration, is easy to remember and fun to say.
Throughout the story, engaging activities and worksheets allow children to deepen their understanding and apply the skills to their own life. Children will explore how our body experiences emotions of fear and anger and calming strategies. Children will practice identifying unhelpful and helpful thoughts and create reminders for themselves when challenging emotions and thoughts arise. And of course, children will explore how our thoughts, feelings, and actions work together and how one small shift can make a big difference.
Also included in this bundle is, the The Pickle-Power-Popper-Pause Problem-Solving Game. The Pickle-Power-Popper-Pause Problem-Solving Game uses play to create a safe space where children can explore challenges, practice problem-solving skills, and identify choices and potential consequences. This game includes 9 illustrated cards (with 3 new exclusive cards) that depict a challenge and describe what the character is thinking and how they feel. The back of each card offers ideas and other feelings to explore through play. Children are asked to create their own dream team of their favorite stuffed animals or toys to act out the different challenges and help the characters figure out what to do.
