Spring has sprung so now it is time for all the kids to spring up and get moving more!  These FREE Springtime exercises – Let’s Egg-ercise can be downloaded at the end of the post.

Movement breaks throughout the day are so important to give children an outlet for physical activity and a brain breaks.  Why not add some themed Springtime Exercises to your classroom, therapy room or home?

All you need to do is print the activity (or show it on your computer or tablet).  See if the children can copy the poses of the egg exercising.  Once they are able to copy the position work on holding that pose for 10 seconds.

Here are some ideas of when to perform the Springtime exercises:

  • anytime during the school day for a quick in-class brain break.
  • send home the printable with your students for over Spring break – see if they can do the exercises one time per day all week.
  • before a test
  • during a therapy session to encourage muscle strengthening
