WHY ARE CLASSROOM JOBS IMPORTANT?
When it comes to running a successful classroom, having a system for assigning and managing student jobs is key. Classroom jobs not only help to keep your room clean and organized, but they also give students a sense of responsibility and ownership over their learning environment. This is also a way to prepare their brains for learning, and keep their grades up!
Additionally, regularly rotating jobs ensures that all students have a chance to contribute to the classroom in a meaningful way. Classroom jobs can also be used as a behavior management tool, as students who know they have important jobs are less likely to act out or misbehave. Many students will love the routine and predictability of having a job for the entire school year.
