OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES TO ADD TO EXTEND THIS LESSON
If you want to challenge working memory, show the students the page with the pictures on it and study it for 20 seconds. Then complete another task such as talking about Fall or looking around the room for other signs of Fall. Then provide the worksheets to see if the students remembers what pictures were on the page.
Add in physical movement. Can they move like a turkey, roll like a pumpkin, float like a ghost, stand tall and steady like a scarecrow, etc.
Try cutting out the pictures on the page and hide them around the room. How quickly can your student find all the pictures and match them up. Maybe hide all the pictures but the students only have to remember to find the ones that are pictures on the page.
