What’s Included in This America’s 250th Anniversary Printable Packet

  • A second Then and Now page has students write or draw what changed, what stayed the same, and what life might look like in 2276.
  • The America 250 Fitness Challenge lists 25 exercises at 10 reps each, totaling 250 reps, with a star to color after every exercise.
  • A My America 250 Time Capsule page gives six boxes for writing or drawing items that represent life today, such as a favorite technology, food, and community.
  • A Draw Your America 250 Time Capsule page has space to illustrate items inside a capsule graphic, guided by four short prompts.

Tips and Variations

For younger children, read each 1776 and 2026 item aloud together first, since images like a washboard or quill may be unfamiliar. They can also break the Fitness Challenge into smaller chunks of five exercises at a time.

For an added challenge, have older students complete the matching pages without verbal hints and time how fast they connect all ten pairs. They can also research one 1776 item and share a fact with the group.

Laminate the Fitness Challenge page and use a dry erase marker for repeated use. For the writing pages, students who struggle with handwriting can dictate answers and add an illustration.
