- Print the activity (you can laminate if you prefer) and start hiding the cards. Get the kids moving, counting and writing with this number hunt!
DIRECTIONS FOR THE COUNT THE ROOM GAME
The adult hides the school-themed cards around the room. The objects pictured are:
- crayons
- globe
- apple
- clock
- star
- scissors
- pencil
- books
- glue
- teacher
- school bus
Provide each student with the recording sheet. The students walk around the room to find the pictures. The adult can hang them in low and high places so children have to squat down to count and stand up tall too!
When the students find the pictures, count the objects, and write the number in the correct location on the recording sheet.
