Description
Looking for a creative way to encourage hand strengthening, visual perceptual skills, vocabulary, and bilateral coordination? Check out this set of 72 Match the Pairs Clip Cards created by Regina Parsons-Allen, a pediatric certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
The 21 page PDF digital document will be available electronically immediately following payment.
How Does the Match the Pairs Clip Cards Work?
- Download, print, and cut apart the 72 different clip cards (four are on each page).
- Provide the children with clothespins or paper clips and cards. There are four categories – Every day, Animal, Food, and Seasons.
- Clip the clothespin or paperclip to the one object that is the pair to the larger object pictured on the card. For example, paper is the large picture, and lipstick, pencil, and candle are the smaller objects. Clip the clothespin or paper clip on the pencil.
What Skills Do the Match the Pairs Clip Cards Work On?
Children will work on the following skills:
- hand and finger strengthening
- visual discrimination skills
- visual scanning skills
- eye hand coordination
- bilateral coordination
- vocabulary
Other Ways to Use the Clip Cards If you don’t have clothespins or paper clips and want to just work on visual perceptual and fine motor skills, ask the children to place a small bingo chip or coin on each different picture. If you want to use the packet digitally, open up the PDF and use Kami or a similar resource to make a mark on the one different picture or simply ask your student to touch or describe one picture that does not match.
When to Use the Match the Pairs Clip Cards
