Behavior Intervention Tools – Free Printable

Behavior intervention tools are essential for teachers, parents, and caregivers to help students develop positive behaviors and coping mechanisms. One effective tool is a free printable behavior intervention tool that allows students to identify and regulate their emotions before they become overwhelming. By using this tool, students can take control of their behavior and develop a better understanding of their emotional responses.

This tool provides a structured way for students to monitor and address their emotions and behaviors, helping them to stay focused and on task. By incorporating this intervention tool into their routine, students can learn to manage their behavior more effectively and achieve their goals. These sample pages are from the complete Self Regulation Triggers and Calming Tools packet.

You can download the two free sample behavior prevention tool worksheets at the bottom of this post.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THIS FREE BEHAVIOR INTERVENTION WORKSHEET?

This two free sample pages include:

  • Intervention Worksheet for Younger Students – The student chooses from 8 different options with illustrations. These are suggestions that they can use to maintain emotional regulation during difficult times. There is a section to write ideas down as well.
  • Intervention Worksheet for Older Students – The options are the same for the older students but the illustrations are more age appropriate. The students can circle options and write additional ideas down.

WHY IS THIS AN EFFECTIVE TOOL?

Students need to be taught self regulation skills. This behavior strategy worksheet can help with any lesson on emotional regulation. It is meant to be used prior to any changes in mood and emotional states.

When we take the time to teach our children tools to use when their emotions get big, they are prepared. Once the emotions are too big to handle, it is not the time for a teaching moment.

WHEN IS A GOOD TIME TO USE THIS BEHAVIOR INTERVENTION TOOL?
